  We have been there twice, and are always impressed. The food is superb, and the attractions are wonderful and well priced. The music and entertainment is remarkably well done, and I am incredibly picky in the area. The level of quality and professionalism is outstanding, and I can't recommend it high enough. I will certainly be taking my family back.

  We did this in 2014 and 2015 and loved it each time. We got there early so we could get tickets to sit on the front benches for the dinner which made it much more enjoyable. The first time we went not knowing much about it but quickly fell in love with the fun activities for kids like the pony ride, lasso, panning for gold, and shooting. The "gunfight" was very funny and the dinner was absolutely delicious. Then the most surprising thing of all - the singing performance at the end! So amazing! We call Flying J the "Disneyland of New Mexico." It's high class and worth every penny. Take your kids and enjoy a great time as a family. Love that they let you go back for seconds on the food and refill your lemonade. NM does not have a lot of really quality and fun family activities, but this is a definite exception.

  Food and singing were good but I was very much disappointed in the health and condition of the horses they use for the pony rides. True ranches take better care of their livestock. The shooting range is also fostering unsafe practices. The golden rules of shooting should be taught in all situations. Know your target and what is beyond it. In this case, beyond the target was an insufficient backstop and visitors. With real ammo it would be disastrous. Not at all an accurate representation of the western lifestyle.
